About Rising Kick
A Rising kick is a good kick to start off in your warm up, allowing for a full extension of the leg.
The basic principles of performing a front kick are (from a front stance position):
- Pull through your back leg and lift it in a swinging motion as high as you can
- Keep the leg as straight as possible
- At the peak of the kick, bring the leg back down in a controlled manner
Jump Rising Kick is a variation of Rising kick.
